West Haven High School hosted its annual ‘Signing Day’ event Wednesday morning in the high school’s all-purpose room, in which student-athletes who plan to play at the collegiate level are recognized in front of their family, friends, teammates, coaches, and staff.
Co-Athletic Director Mike Anquillare created this event three years ago. Today’s ‘Signing Day’ featured the largest group of signees to date.
“These 14 students are not only great athletes, but they are also at the top of their class academically,” said Anquillare. “They have excelled both in the classroom and off it, and I could not be more proud of this group. I wish them the best of luck at the next level.”
