West Haven High School juniors and seniors in Personal Finance and AP Government classes played “Financial Literacy Jeopardy” on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, with Connecticut State Comptroller Sean Scanlon and Connecticut State Treasurer Erick Russell, who is also a WHHS alum.
The event took place in the high school’s new lecture hall and began with a presentation by Comptroller Scanlon and Treasurer Russell. Following the presentation, the hosts divided the room into two groups for a game of Jeopardy to test our students' financial knowledge, and our students excelled.
Also participating in the game were West Haven Mayor Dorinda Borer, and State Representatives Bill Heffernan and Treneé McGee.
