Today was a very exciting day for the West Haven Community. Senior, Kadear Dembele, committed to play football at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Wake Forest is a Division I University in the NCAA. With his family by his side, Kadear signed his letter of intent. Kadear began playing football around the age of 10. He has played Varsity Football for 3 years at West Haven High School. He is a Defensive Tackle and has earned the following recognitions during his career, SCC Defensive Player and 1st Team all SCC. He was ranked #7 in the recruiting class for Connecticut.
Kadear played football his Junior year at Archbishop Stepinac High School. While he was attending Archbishop, Kadear was chosen for 1st Team all League. He was ranked #4 in the recruiting class for New York.
Kadear hopes to pursue a career in business and possibly education. He will always be appreciative of his West Haven family who was by his side supporting him, especially Mrs. Bruneau and Mrs. Froehlich who were always there for him and made school an enjoyable place to be. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors!
