Over the last three days, Mrs. Parades and the WHHS Peer Advocates ensured that over 340 Washington students took home at least 15 books each during the free book fair. The books were generously donated by the community and New Haven Reads.

In addition to the books, the community contributed bookmarks, fun pencils, and other prizes, which all the children had the chance to select. The students expressed their appreciation for everyone's kindness and support in making the event a success. This initiative not only promoted literacy but also brought the community together to foster a love for reading among young learners.
