Mrs. Napier and Mrs. McGuire took their third-grade students outside on Thursday for a math on-the-go activity incorporating exercise into learning. Students were comparing 3-digit numbers by running to the greater or lesser number as called out by the teachers. They had a blast and got to enjoy some beautiful weather while learning too!

Washington School, which has temporarily relocated to Anna V. Molloy School while its new building is being constructed, opened its doors to parents and students today for an Open House! Our teachers and staff have done an INCREDIBLE job preparing the new building for the school year. There was a lot of hard work that went into this transformation, but you can hardly tell as the classrooms look great, the hallways are filled with bulletin boards, and the floors have decorations as well! Our
teachers can’t wait to have their students back in the classroom and are beyond excited for the new school year!
We hosted our All Staff Professional Development Day today at the high school! Check out a few photos from the event. It was a great opportunity to get all our teachers in the district together for a day!

Today, we welcome our new teachers to the district with our New Teacher Orientation! Breakfast was provided this morning in the West Haven High School library while Superintendent Neil Cavallaro addressed the group! Following introductions, our new teachers broke up into 2 groups to watch presentations as they prepare for the new school year.
