On Thursday, March 28th, the Bettering Bailey Club hosted a Bailey Staff Basketball Game as the 7th-grade teachers faced the 8th-grade teachers in a thriller! Students and families filled the WHHS gym to cheer on their teachers, made posters, and supported them by wearing team colors! There were amazing raffle prizes won as well. In the end, the 7th grade teachers won 44-41 and lots of fun was had by all! All proceeds from ticket sales and raffle tickets went to the Bettering Bailey Club to support more school-wide events! It was a great kickoff to the long weekend!

Over the last couple of weeks, our Health 2 students at WHHS attended a HEAT (Heroin Education Action Team) presentation by the United States Attorney's Office - District of Connecticut. The students listened to and spoke with a DEA Agent, a Federal Prosecutor, and a local member of the community who lost a child to fentanyl. We would like to thank our presenters for an incredible presentation and experience for our students!

March has been a busy month for students at Pagels! Leprechauns, the Carolina Panthers’ mascot, and the Denver Broncos’ cheerleaders along with Hall of Fame college football players, all visited the school! Additionally, students and Pete the Cat rocked out with Al DeCant for Read Across America Day, and a Character Day sponsored by the PTA brought lots of exciting costumes to Pagels, including Mickey!

Today, 3rd graders at Washington School presented projects to their families and peers. The students dressed up as characters and presented a written report full of facts, along with a visual to represent why that person has made an impact on their lives. Students answered questions from the audience, such as, when they were born, what they did to make an impact on the world, and why that student chose that person. The students did a fantastic job!
