The ‘Save A Life Tour’ is back at the high school with its Distracted Driving Program! They were here yesterday and today to teach our students about the dangers of driving while intoxicated and driving while texting. They use methods such as speaker presentations, visual presentations, and interactive demonstrations.
Forest School hosted a professional BMX show by Mannie Nogueira today, as part of its anti-bullying enrichment program! In between impressive stunts on his bike was Mannie’s anti-bullying message to “Be a buddy, not a bully!” He also encouraged students to achieve their goals through dedication.

Washington School held its ABC Bootcamp earlier this week! For 26 days, students learned the letters of the alphabet and the sounds of those letters. Each day, they made a chart with pictures for each letter, practiced writing the letter, and made an alphabet hat for each letter!
They concluded the ABC Bootcamp with a fashion show! Check out some pictures of the creative vests the students made.
Forest School Kindergarten celebrated learning the letters of the alphabet with a parade around the school today, wearing vests that they made illustrating all the letter sounds!

Carrigan held pep rallies in the auditorium today for their 5th and 6th graders! The students had a lot of fun as they participated in games while learning about, and setting goals for, My Path and Lexia! My Path and Lexia help students learn skills they may not know and push them to challenge themselves.
Students learned that they could win prizes for completing their individual and team goals, which they set today and will end on October 20th!

West Haven High School hosted a College Fair last night! The 2-hour event had representatives from local and nearby colleges, as well as the military, and was open to all students, their parents, staff, and anyone in the community.
Today 154 Westies were notified that they qualified for the Connecticut Automatic Acceptance Program!
